The period 2004-2010 is particularly interesting for many motor geeks. During this period, the industry was not so hampered by environmental impact. Of course it was included in the dialogue, but for many manufacturers it was not the main focus. Instead, many in the industry were in a race against each other to produce the absolute best in the motor world. Cars such as Carrera GT, BMW E60 M5 and even Bugatti's Veyron were born during this period. For the big German manufacturers, the focus was on engine volume in unexpected chassis. Audi was at the forefront here. During the period, the RS6 received a V10 with not one but two turbo units and its little brother was no worse. The B7 RS4 as this chassis is called which was launched in 2005 and got a 4.2L V8 of 420hp. An engine that not long after came to power the sibling R8. Audi's first supercar. Like many Audis, the engine was placed here over the front axle with a 6-speed manual gearbox as the only option and drove all wheels via Audi's fantastic Quattro system.
The B7 which became the second generation of the RS4 was the first and is still the only generation to be offered as a sedan. This black example sits a little extra aggressively over its 19" gray rims thanks to an adjustable chassis from Öhlins and this particular detail has always been one of the RS4's great highlights. The slightly massaged fenders that swell over the rims. A discreet but aggressive detail that is not captured by All.The exterior does not get many contrasts. Both mirrors and grill go in glossy black with carbon fiber details over the rear diffuser and the B-pillar.
The interior feels familiar from Audi's A4 from this generation with a few key differences. The first thing that strikes you are the bucket seats, which seem to belong more in the sibling R8. So also the steering wheel which is actually shared with both the R8 and also the cousin Gallardo. Black leather throughout and carbon fiber trim is soldered over the doors and dashboard.
An extremely well-maintained and well-documented copy with the correct updates. Sold in Sweden of course.
