Exterior: This BMW 2000 Tii Touring is finished in an elegant maroon red color called Malaga. The car was restored in 1996 and has been well preserved since. The paint has a nice finish, and the chrome trim is in excellent condition. During the restoration, the owner managed to acquire many new original BMW parts, ensuring that all replaced trim is of the highest quality. The fitting of all panels is good, with even panel gaps around the doors, hood, and trunk. These cars are notorious for rusting, but this particular vehicle is free from corrosion, both visibly and underneath. All the windows are also in exceptional condition, with minimal scratches, which can be common on cars from the northern parts of Europe where ice scrapers often leave marks. Being an early model from the 02 generation, it features the gorgeous and sought after round taillights. The exterior design is simple, but every detail is thoughtfully executed. The car also sits on a set of rare original 13-inch aluminum wheels with Michelin tires.
Interior: The interior experience begins as soon as you push the door handle, feeling how solid the door is to open and shut. The quality is impressive – something not often found in today’s “compact” cars. The interior consists of half-cloth, half-vinyl seats that are in great condition. Despite its small size, the cabin is spacious and comfortable. The tall windows in the BMW 2000 Tii Touring allow plenty of natural light into the cabin. A very rare feature of this car is the original sunroof, which is quite large and provides a nice breeze on warm summer days. The sunroof is manually operated, so there’s no concern about electrical malfunctions.
Engine and Mechanics: Under the hood, you’ll find a 2-liter fuel-injected inline four-cylinder engine, producing 130 horsepower – more than enough to make this BMW 2000 Tii Touring feel quick. The engine is paired with a smooth four-speed transmission, making for a brilliant driving experience. The car feels both sporty and quick, yet also comfortable and relaxing to drive. In 1995, the rear axle and gearbox underwent a full restoration, and the car has covered about 50,000 km since. It has just undergone a full service and runs very smoothly. All features of the car are in working order.
History: This BMW 2000 Tii Touring was originally sold in Sweden. It has had a total of four real owners who have cared for and used the car. The most recent owner has enjoyed and maintained the vehicle since 1996, collecting numerous records and MOT papers. The car comes well documented and has two sets of keys.
