BMW's M division turned fifty years old and that had to be celebrated. BMW brought back the well-known 'CSL' designation and stuck it on the back of an all-surpassing version of the BMW M4. This is the M4 CSL. CSL stands for Coupé, Sports and Leight and of course comes from the legendary 3.0 CSL. However, the name was used more often, such as with the spectacular M3 CSL that BMW introduced in 2003 and with the 'E36' M3 CSL.

The M4 CSL lives up to its name because the 3.0 straight-six in the M4 CSL delivers 550 hp and 650 Nm. 40 hp more than the M4 Competition. That power always goes to the rear wheels, so no xDrive four-wheel drive for the CSL. The Leight part of its name is also true. The M4 CSL is no less than 100 kilos lighter than the M4 Competition. This combination ensures that the CSL sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and that it is the fastest M ever on the Nürburgring. The M4 CSL covers the little over 20 kilometers track in just 7 minutes and 20 seconds. From 0 to 200 km/h takes 10.7 seconds and the top speed is 307 km/h. Impressive figures!

The M4 CSL was built in a limited edition of only 1,000 units and was available in 3 colors. This example has the recognizable color Frozen Brooklyn Grey. Various carbon parts and red accents on both the exterior and the interior emphasize the sporty character of the car. This example, which was delivered new in November 2022 in the Netherlands and has only driven 367 km, also has the optional yellow Laserlight headlights. All in all a unique and great driver's car that should not be missing in the collection of the true BMW fan!
