The advertised M5 Touring is an example of the only 209 ever produced 3.8l – 340HP, 6-speed version of the E34 M5 Touring series. VIN#: WBSHJ91060BL01792.

The car was traded in to Bavarian Classics in it’s original, untouched condition showing the natural wear on the mechanical side. We decided to put it back to it’s original glory, so we rebuilt the mechanical part. The body is untouched, seems that never had any accidents and the paintwork seems to be factory original. All original documentation comes with car.

Scope of rebuild done at Bavarian Classics
After receiving the vehicle we were glad to see that we are facing with an untouched example, with all the pros and cons of the untouched condition. It means that thankfully no modifications were made to it, but on the other hand some parts showed extensive wear.

Engine: fully rebuilt, actually new.
Originally a small amount of smoke was realized, so we decided to dismantle the engine. Even if the cylinders were at the factory 0 size, we realized a scratch (possibly from a spark plug failure) on the wall of cylinder 1. Since that time no factory original oversize pistons were available, but the engine block was still orderable (not anymore), we decided to go for a new engine block. The original one – which shows what we state here – and shows the original engine number, comes with the car.

Twin-mass flywheel, clutch are new, all drivetrain elements are either new or rebuilt. New springs, suspension wear parts.
Rebuilt brake calipers, new brake hoses, discs, pads.
New original rims and tires.
