The ultimate dilemma for a Ferrari fan: falling for a stunning example while already owning several. This was precisely the case for the previous owner of this 512 TR. His V12-powered Ferrari had – and still has – it all: complete history, impeccable condition, and a classic color scheme that makes Ferrari red pulse through your veins. Yet, this loyal Prins customer chose to trade the TR back to us relatively quickly. Not because he grew tired of it – quite the opposite. True to the spirit of a genuine enthusiast, there was another Ferrari he simply couldn’t resist. And so, in a short time, two childhood dreams came true. For one person. History
Our 512 TR was originally delivered in Italy, meticulously maintained, and comes with stamped service books as proof. In short, the classic beauty couldn’t be purer. We’re glad, however, that the Testarossa successor left the land of historic automobile temples for the Netherlands in 2017. Why? Because it allows us to stand face-to-face with one of the most iconic supercars ever built. The predecessor, Testarossa, has the name, but the Ferrari 512 TR is undoubtedly a significant step up in every respect. This specific example spent years as part of an impressive Ferrari collection until your predecessor managed to pry it away from its owner and added it to their private collection in early 2024. Despite the unwavering enthusiasm, even a devoted Ferrari collector must make tough decisions sometimes. This was one of them. On the bright side, trading in the 512 TR now gives *you

Exterior
The Ferrari 512 TR shares its foundation with the Testarossa and is visually and technically very close to the original. Yet, the TR represents a significant evolution in all areas. Externally, the TR is distinguished by a new front bumper, now fully painted in the body color, along with a revised grille and updated light clusters. The signature pop-up headlights remained untouched, as did the iconic air intakes on the doors and the covers over the taillight units. However, the lights themselves were updated: the amber lens at the top was replaced with a smoked white finish, lending a more modern look. The same applies to the larger 5-spoke design wheels. Additionally, the rear engine lid received modifications, notable for its inverted color scheme compared to the Testarossa: the slightly lower-profile lid is black on the 512, with the surrounding areas painted in the body color. In this case, Rosso Corsa – arguably the only appropriate choice for a Ferrari classic named after the shade of the “cam covers” atop the V12 engine.

Interior
The interior of the 512 TR retains the original Testarossa spirit while incorporating a few upgrades. Notable changes include the revised layout of the gauges in the center console, the Nero leather seats, and the matching black steering wheel. In true Ferrari tradition, the wheel is black but features a slightly more modern design. Fortunately for purists, the iconic gated shifter of the manual transmission remains untouched, with the aluminum gear knob continuing to serve as an absolute showpiece. A lovely detail is the choice of Rosso carpeting. As we’ve said before: this is a classic for enthusiasts whose Ferrari bloodline runs as deep as their passion.

Engineering & Performance
Blood isn’t the only thing racing when you experience the incredible V12 engineering of this fiery red beauty. As soon as the nearly 5-liter “flat-12” (hence the name “512”) roars to life, your senses are on high alert, and your adrenaline skyrockets. From the moment all 428 horses (38 more than the Testarossa) awaken, propelling you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds, your hormones will nearly burst through the roof. This continues until reaching a top speed of 314 km/h. These are significantly better figures than the original Testarossa delivered – and those were already goosebump-inducing!
