The Ferrari SA Aperta

Announced at the 2010 Paris International Motor Show, Ferrari's 599 SA Aperta continued the marque's tradition of creating limited-edition drop-top V-12 grand tourers, including the 550 Barchetta and 575 Superamerica. Only eighty units would be produced and all eighty cars had already been sold by the time the car was publicly announced.

Although the SA Aperta was built using the chassis and powertrain of the 599 GTO, Ferrari intended the SA Aperta to have a softer personality than the GTO, which was intended to be a road-legal version of the 599XX. The windscreen was given a steeper angle and two aerodynamic fins were created behind the roll bars, reminiscent of the flying buttresses on the standard 599 GTB. Both the suspension and exhaust are less aggressive than the 599 GTO, making it all the more comfortable for long-distance touring.

Presented in a truly stunning combination of 'Rosso Corsa' over a 'Nero' leather/alcantara interior, this 599 SA Aperta is equipped on the outside with a number of desirable options including Scuderia emblems, 'Rosso Corsa' brake calipers, carbon sideskirts, carbon mirrors and carbon headlights. Inside, there are again plenty of carbon options, including a carbon steering wheel with LED shift lights, carbon race seats in large, and a carbon center console.

This SA Aperta is particularly well documented with original booklets, two keys, a cover, a canvas soft top and the Ferrari Redbook Classiche Certification.
