Ferrari Roma Spider 3.9 V8 - Celeste Trevi - Airscarf

The Ferrari Roma Spider is designed to evoke the atmosphere of the open Ferraris from the 1950s and 60s. Like the coupe version, this convertible embodies 'La Dolce Vita.' While the Roma Spider doesn't have a classic look, it exudes a sense of nostalgia. Its design may be refined and elegant, but the driving experience is surprisingly sharp and dynamic. The open version offers the same pure driving sensation as the closed variant.

The fabric roof is stylish and takes up less space than a hardtop, allowing the coupe's sleek lines to remain intact, including the elegant rear. The soft top is available in five standard colors and consists of multiple layers, including an acoustic layer that effectively keeps outside noise from entering the interior. Opening and closing the roof takes just 13.5 seconds and can be done while driving at speeds up to 60 km/h. For extra comfort at higher speeds, a wind deflector behind the front seats can reduce airflow. Ferrari positions the Roma Spider as a 2+ rather than a 2+2, similar to the rear seats of a Porsche 911 Cabriolet.

In terms of driving behavior, the Spider hardly differs from the closed Roma. The additional weight from the reinforcements is only 84 kilograms, which has little impact on the driving experience. Although the Roma Spider is a GT model, it offers exceptional steering precision and excellent grip on the front wheels, thanks to the front-mounted V8 engine. In Race mode, the electronics work subtly to maintain control without noticeable interventions.

At speeds above 100 km/h, the driving experience remains pleasant, partly due to the wind deflector and the optional 'Airscarf,' which blows warm air around the neck. The 620-hp V8, paired with an eight-speed DCT automatic transmission, shifts smoothly and intuitively. In Comfort mode, the transmission selects the highest gear, making it ideal for relaxed cruising along beautiful coastal roads, allowing you to fully appreciate the car’s striking design.
