This 991.2 GT2 RS is equipped with the complete Manthey Racing Performance Kit and was previously owned by F1 driver and 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours winner Nico Hülkenberg. The previous seller also believes that the car was first owned by F1 driver and world champion Nico Rosberg, although this cannot be verified.
Under the hood lies a tuned 3.8-liter flat-six twin-turbo engine, now producing 800 hp (at Hülkenberg's request), delivering power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Factory options include Sport Chrono, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, front axle lift, a valved exhaust system, heated and electrically adjustable seats, and a PCM infotainment system with touchscreen and navigation.
The Manthey Racing Performance Kit features extensive upgrades to the chassis, aerodynamics, and braking components. Additionally, the car is equipped with high-performance Capristo catalytic converters, necessary for the power increase (from 700 hp to 800 hp). Notably, the GT2 RS MR (with standard 700 hp) became the fastest road-legal car ever around the Nürburgring in 2018, achieving a lap time of 6 minutes and 38 seconds—a record it held until recently when a Mercedes-AMG One set a faster time.
The car is finished in black, with an interior featuring two carbon fiber seats upholstered in black leather with black Alcantara accents. The seats are adorned with red contrast stitching, embroidered headrests with additional "MR" logos, and red seat belts as highlights. It sits on Weissach Pack magnesium wheels (20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear) with central locking nuts and carbon fiber covers on the rear wheels. The car is equipped with carbon ceramic discs and red brake calipers (reportedly a "CXX" option ordered by Nico Rosberg). Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires complete the setup.
The car has covered only 14,000 km since new. It was purchased by the current owner at an auction in Belgium (Collecting Cars) in late 2023. Quoting Collecting Cars:
"This 991.2-generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a particularly thrilling example of the marque’s already potent supercar, which was owned by F1 driver and Le Mans winner Nico Hulkenberg, who commissioned a host of discerning Manthey-Racing performance upgrades. Boasting a powerful tuned 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine coupled to a fast PDK gearbox, it would make a great addition to any collection of modern performance heroes, and a visceral weekend toy or track-day machine.
The seller also believes that the car was also first owned by World Championship winning F1 driver Nico Rosberg, though there is no definitive proof of this initial ownership."
At Bilteknik, the car was serviced (2024-03-27), fitted with a titanium roll cage (2024-08-30), and inspected according to a test protocol (to be published shortly). The car comes with manuals, a stamped service book, a selection of maintenance invoices, original parts and wheels from the 991 GT2 RS, and two keys.
