The Volkswagen Beetle, also known as the "People's Car", is one of the most iconic models in automotive history. The 54 model year represents one of the most beloved and collectible versions, especially in its "Oval Window Ragtop" version. One of the most distinctive details of the 1954 model year is the oval rear window, which replaced the previous split rear window from 1953. Information about this particular car:On this award-winning example, over 900 hours have been spent restoring the car to perfection and nothing has been left to chance. Only the best parts have been used. It is a complete "Bare Metal" restoration carried out by Aspmek and Fahlke Classic Cars in Åmål Sweden.The body parts that have been replaced comes from Wolfparts, Virtanen, Dirk Horting and BBT as well as some handmade sheets.The gilled engine cover is made by Wolfparts.The engine is an air-cooled, 1.2-liter four-stroke boxer engine that produces 30 horsepower, it and the gearbox are completely renovated by Hans Landelius here in Sweden.

Exterior:Painted in Porsche 356 pre A 54/55 Jade Green metallic, the wheels are genuine Porsche 4 ½” steel rims with Porsche 550 spacers at the rear, the car is a little lower than standard to get the right stance.

Interior:The seats and door sides are upholstered in corduroy and artificial leather similar to what Porsche used in the 356s. The carpets are high-quality loop mats and the headliner is made of wool.The interior parts come from Himmelservice, Justin Palcek, Wolfsburg west and Doorpanelshop, sunroof material from KHM.
Much of the chrome is “NOS” New Old Stock or re-chromed. New wiring harness from VW Looms.
